Christine Ellen "Chrissie" Hynde is an American rock musician, singer, songwriter and occasional actress. She is the frontwoman of the critically acclaimed music group The Pretenders and has been the band's only constant member throughout its history. She has also had a solo career, most notably singing on the 1995 Comic Relief theme "Love Can Build A Bridge" alongside fellow pop star Cher, Swedish rapper Neneh Cherry and British rock musician Eric Clapton.
