Crocodiles are huge, carnivorous reptiles. They live in the Americas, Africa, Asia and Australia, where they stalk rivers, lakes and waterways.

Description

Crocodiles are greenish brown in colour and have rough scaly skin. Their most famous trademark is their huge, knife sharp teeth.

Habitats

Crocodiles stalk waterways, rivers and lakes in the forests, grasslands and marshes of Africa, South and Central America, Asia and Australia.

Prey

The crocodile's prey is mainly made up of fish throughout their distribution, as well as large mammals and birds.

Threats

Humans are the crocodile's main threat because they kill them for their skin to make into purses and their teeth to make into necklaces. They are mainly seen roaming in patches of protected land such as the Serengeti and Kruger National Park in Africa, Manu National Park in Latin America, Kaziranga and Khao Yai National Park in Asia, and Kakadu National Park in Australia.

Crocodiles are also seen in the Wild Thornberrys universe.
