&nbsp The plains zebra is an animal from "The Wild Thornberrys TV Show" and the movie.

Appearance[]

Zebras are white with black stripes, judging by the white belly. The plains zebra is the second largest zebra of all three species in Africa, weighing up to 850 pounds. Only the Grevy's Zebra is larger.

Information[]

In Reality[]

Plains zebras usually live in herds made up of a male (stallion), several females (mares), and their young (foals).

They'll often mix with warthogs, wildebeests, and antelope for better protection. The main enemies of zebras are lions, spotted hyenas, african hunting dogs, leopards, and cheetahs. Zebra stripes may protect them by either camouflaging the zebra or distracting predators. The stripes are also a way of identifying individual herd members. No two zebras have the exact same pattern. Baby zebras learn to recognize their mamas by their stripe pattern, scent, and call. A zebra can gallop up to 40 miles per hour, faster than a lion or leopard, the same speed as a spotted hyena, and slower than an African wild dog or a cheetah. Zebras are pretty common in Africa. Sometimes they're hunted for their precious stripes.

In Cheetahs Never Prosper[]

Zebras can be seen investigating in the dry watering holes, digging for water. When the rains begin, zebras can be seen running with elephants, lions, wildebeests, antelopes, and giraffes. When Marianne films Nigel in a watering hole with animals, zebras can be seen running in the water.

In the movie[]

Zebras can be seen running with wildebeests when Debbie drives the Comvee towards them.

When Eliza goes on a helicopter ride, zebras can be seen running under the vehicle.
